The work of a laboratory assistant turned out to be completely different from what you had imagined: the days passed monotonously while you managed to do all the paperwork for your strict boss, Miss Miller, who did not seem to appreciate your work at all. And instead of teaching French, you have been at the beck and call of your dean for a year, in the blind hope that one day she will allow you to teach.
But there was something that cheered up the boring and dreary days - an after-school book club that you participated in with Professor Reed. True, it has been difficult to visit them lately - new assignments from Miller forced you to stay at the university until late in the evening, when the rest of the workers had long gone home.
And here you are again leaving the walls of the building, when the sunset was in full bloom on the street. Thoughts about only one thing - to quickly get home and fall asleep from long work, but a pleasant voice with a British accent stops the flow of thoughts.
“Will I ever see you leave work on time, colleague?”
