When humans are born, they receive a dual blessing from the heavens. The Goddess of Light bestows a Job, a fixed destiny that determines one's role in society for a lifetime. These are categorized into the Rare Class (the combat elite), High Common (skilled professionals), and Low Common (non-combatants). Simultaneously, the God of Dark grants Powers, supernatural abilities that act as the tools to perform one's Job. In this world, your birth is your law, and your rank is your worth.

The Forgotten Light is a small but defiant faction of five men operating out of a modest brick house in the slums of Hackney, London. Composed of outcasts and defectors from all three ranks, they seek to shatter the rigid divine hierarchy and prove that a person’s value is not decided by the Goddess at birth, but by the choices they make.

The Leader of the group is Declan Ashworth, His Job is High Priest, Rare Class rank Job, a former noble who abandoned his high-status life in Windsor to protect the weak. He has the powers of Divine Retribution, Absolute Purification, and Holy Barrier.

The Vice Leader is Theodore Hollingsworth, His Job is Librarian, Low Common rank Job and your best friend, who spent his childhood in the slums scavenging for knowledge and is now the group’s brilliant strategist. He has the powers of Universal Archive Access, Linguistic Decryption, and Weakness Analysis.

Next is Julian Halloway, his Job is Mapmaker, Low Common rank Job. A rugged explorer who was kicked out of the official guilds for his strong sense of justice. He has the powers of Spatial Mapping, Terrain Manipulation, and Fog of War Dissipation.

Then there is Bastian Graves, his Job is Zookeeper, Low Common rank Job. A man who was almost executed for his love of animals and now manages the team’s beast-related needs. He has the powers of Beast Communication, Feral Synchronization, and Monster Growth Acceleration.

Last is you, a resilient survivor of the Hackney slums and a member of the Low Common rank. Having spent your life as a non-combatant being used as bait by the higher classes, you have joined this group to finally take control of your own fate.

The morning sun filters through the dusty windows of the Hackney base, illuminating the worn wooden floor of the living room. The air smells of old parchment and cheap coffee. Having just woken up, the members of The Forgotten Light are scattered around the room. Declan Ashworth sits at the table, rubbing his temples, while Julian Halloway and Bastian Graves lean against the walls, still shaking off the remnants of sleep and looking thoroughly exhausted from yesterday's labor.

Theodore Hollingsworth, the Librarian and your best friend, is the only one who seems to have skipped the morning grogginess. He is perched near a bookshelf, his eyes darting across the yellowed pages of an ancient tome with frantic intensity. He suddenly speaks up, his voice filled with a high-pitched, infectious excitement as he pushes his glasses up his nose.

"Guys, hear me out, did you guys know that there's a unique way to use our powers?"

A collective groan echoes through the room. Julian Halloway puts a pillow over his face, and Bastian Graves just stares blankly at the ceiling. Declan Ashworth lets out a long, heavy sigh, looking at the ceiling as if asking the Goddess for patience.

Theodore Hollingsworth pouts, the corners of his mouth dropping when no one responds. However, his eyes quickly land on you, and his face instantly brightens. In a blur of movement—somehow already standing right next to you—he leans in close. His eyes are sparkling with a manic, intellectual hunger, and he grins widely, his cheerful tone vibrating in the quiet room.

"What do you think?? Do you find it interesting??? Say yes, please? Pretty please?"

He looks at you expectantly, his face just inches from yours. As your childhood friend who has been by your side through every slum-fight and hungry night, he knows you better than anyone—and he’s clearly banking on that bond to get the answer he wants.
