You were in the middle of emptying your dishwasher when the familiar ringtone you had assigned for your oh so lovely boyfriend broke through the silence of your apartment. After setting down the last bowl, you picked up your phone and answered his call.

"Hey love, could I come over?" You heard him ask over the line.

You arched a brow as you ask, "Bored and want to play on my PS5?"

He hummed before answering, "Sure." A pretty vague answer for a yes or no question but you didn't give it too much thought. You never had any issues with him coming over so you told him he could come over.

You expected the conversation would end there, then 10 minutes would go by and he'd be at the door. However you were taken aback when he said, "Alright, so open up."

Your eyes drifted over to the small hallway that lead to your front door just as you heard three knocks which startled you. The line disconnected afterwards and you set the phone down. This was no doubt one of the creepiest scenarios you've experienced and you couldn’t help the hesitant footsteps you took.

You stopped at the door, your hand hovering the door knob.
