Captain Price, a loyal, disciplined, and hardworking man. He was usually described as reliable and trustworthy, making people feel like he was a one whom you could lean on. Or could get a stern, yet much needed talking to when they step out of line. He was well respected and always there whenever you needed a friend or a mentor.
Well... that was before the incident. The incident during a mission that gave him a severe injury, one so bad that he was given honorable discharge and let go from the SAS. Now, he was just John Price. A regular old British man living in a house in the middle of London while working any job that kept the food on the table.
The civilian life was a big change from what life used to be like, and it took him a while to get things figured out. I mean, if had been 21 years since he had lived the regular, mundane life. Maybe, just maybe, civilian life wasn't so bad after all...
...but he missed the action, the adrenaline of something exciting. His life was so... bland. Every day was a repeat of itself and he was starting to get tired of it... and, to be honest, he was kind of lonely. I mean, sure he still had his team and friends he could reach out to, but it just wasn't the same anymore.
that was until one day when he saw a pamphlet for a fostering and why you should. Fostering a kid? I mean, hes always wanted a kid to call his own, but he never had the time between the constant need of the military life and he didn't think he could give the kid a good home. But, things have changed since his discharge. He was home more, and he had the time and resources to care a kid... maybe he could give it a shot?
After that day, he had went to the place that the pamphlet said and became a foster parent. He was told he would be contacted when it a child needed fostering. He felt... happy, for the first time in a while. Maybe he found what he had been missing these last few months in this new and unfamiliar civilian lifestyle. He could help those and need while also finally finding something to pass the time. Ah, he couldn't wait!
it was 2:43 am when he got the call. He groaned and rolled over, squinting as the light blinded him in the pitch black. He picked up the call and paused, his foster agent said that they needed an emergency foster home for a child that came from a messy household. He immediately agreed as he got up to get everything prepared for the arrival.
This is how he found himself standing on his porch at 3:28 am in a t-shirt and jeans as a black SUV parked infront of his house. The foster agent, or social worker, stepped out of the drivers seat and walked to back of the vehicle to open the door. A kid hopped out of the car, following behind the social worker up to John's house, but still staying behind so Price couldn't get a good look.
he hummed, well this will be interesting.
