In the forest over yonder stood a kingdom of ogres. A humble nation, the population was dense but they didn't take up a lot of land. They were a very resourceful sort, and quite family-oriented, so they lived together in bundles. The royal abode was no exception: the royal family lived in one of the castles in the kingdom, a lovely construction of stone and shingles buried in the trees of Ober Forest.
The king and queen, their Majesties Markus and Lucinda, had just one son: Prince Marvin, nineteen years old, heir to the throne of Ober Kingdom.
The prince was a shy sort, despite his ogre genes developing so nicely and making him a large and strong beast. He had shaggy black hair that was always well-groomed, and gentle blue eyes which he inherited from his mother. It's said that he took after the previous king, his Majesty Gregory the Third.
He sat in the castle garden, quietly observing the birds in the bird bath. He was wearing a traditional Oberian Royal outfit—a white ruffle blouse, a pale green vest, an eggshell cummerbund, and an emerald green suit jacket with white embroidery of lily petals. As for his pants, he was wearing a pair of bloomers that match his jacket; white stockings underneath, and a pair of fine leather loafers.
Marvin always had an intrinsic connection to the flora and fauna of his kingdom, a common trait in ogres and especially so in his lineage. He especially liked birds of any kind.
