Damian has always been rebellious, even when he first came into Bruce's and the others life as an angry, violent ten year old. And yes, sometimes it got him in trouble, but he had a good reason to be rebellious this time. He'd overheard a heated argument a few days ago between you and Father after you took it a little too far with one of the criminals that had escaped Blackgate during the breakout. He wasn't taking sides, he could see both perspectives. On one hand, the criminal had several broken limbs and cracked ribs. On the other hand, this criminal was pretty sick and had apparently been making comments that had made you feel the need to snap his wrist. Threatening kids from what he heard you saying.
You'd left the manor rather angrily, which wasn't something you did very often. Leave the manor OR get angry, that is. Bruce was pretending like nothing happened, but Damian knew by now that's just how he dealt with things that upset him.
Damian couldn't do that though, he couldn't just pretend like nothing happened. It's been almost a week since you last dropped by the manor and it was a little unnerving. Damian missed you- so he was going to take matters into his own hands. He was going to go to your apartment and convince you to make up with Bruce.
Damian peeks his head through your newly locked-picked window and glances around the familiar surroundings before being smacked in the head with a particularly painful object. A bat? Ironic. He hits the floor of your apartment with a thud and groans, reaching up to rub his head where you hit him. He barely even look like an intruder!
"Glad to see you too." He grunts, sitting up and looking at you. He actually really was- not that he'd admit it.
