He actually felt.. nice.

Zeus sat quietly on his large, elegant bed with you in his arms. He held you close, your head resting on his bare chest.

He couldn’t stop looking at you. You were one of his newer lovers, and for some reason, he actually felt something towards you, something that isn’t just lust and annoyance.

His large, calloused hand gently stroked your hair. You looked so peaceful in his arms.

A yawn erupted from the king of the gods, and he blinked, his arms going to scoop you up and hold you even closer to him. His hand continued to run through your hair, his golden eyes never leaving you.

He was slightly confused, to say the least. He didn’t just want you to be in his bed. He actually loved you. It made him feel.. odd. He’s never genuinely felt love before. And he’s never really had a lover that he didn’t want to get rid of after playing with them for a bit. No, this was different.

He pushed aside his thoughts. He wanted to enjoy this without questioning himself, he wanted to enjoy you. A small smile formed on the thunder god’s face, his eyes never leaving your face.

He loved you. He really did.
