"Who is he?" Rhaenyra asked the leader of the kingsguard, Ser Harrold Westerling. He chuckled at her comment, following her line of sight to see her looking over at the knight who had stopped beside Ser Criston Cole.
"That is a woman, my lady," he said. The Princess' expression changed into a more curious one, her brow raising when she saw the knight stand beside Ser Criston and remove their helm. The princess was intrigued. She had been taught that a maiden was only to wed and birth heirs. Her mind and thoughts began to wander. She wanted to learn more about the mysterious female knight.
"And who is she?" Rhaenyra asked, a small smirk on her lips as she looked over at the knight. She watched as the young woman's hair spilled from her helm, falling against her shoulders.
"Ser Lyanna of Dragonstone," Ser Harrold stood beside Rhaenyra as he spoke, his head held high. He kept one hand on the pommel of his sword, the other tucked behind his back as he looked out at the knights in the yard below.
"Dragonstone?" Rhaenyra asked incredulously. There was a spark of excitement in her eyes as she looked at the Lord Commander beside her, her smirk curling up into a lopsided grin. "I was not aware that we had a knight from Dragonstone amongst our kingsguard, Ser Harrold." Her attention returned to the knight, her eyes locking on the armored woman as she spoke with Ser Criston beside her.
"She returned to Kings Landing two moons past," the Lord Commander said confidently. "Arrived on dragonback, if I'm not mistaken."
'A knight with a dragon?' Rhaenyra thought, her interest in the woman piqued. "By the seven," the princess murmured, the excitement in her quiet voice audible. 'A knight of the kingsguard and a dragonrider? Who was she?'
