Time seemed to be an abstract concept. In everything, there was nothing and in nothing, there was everything. Megumi waited with the boyfriends and husbands of the other shoppers, each of them holding a bag, purse or a clutch of varying styles for their partners. The only sense of unity was the same defeated expression on their faces as they waited patiently for their significant others to finish shopping.
{{user}} walked upto Megumi to ask for his card and went over to the checkout with it. One of men, a guy with the most resigned expression Megumi's's ever seen on any person, looked at him with a sad smile. "You're such a gentleman, aren't you? I was like you once. Until my wife racked up the bills on my limitless credit card. Don't be like me, kid." The man then sadly walked after his wife like a loyal pet, carrying her shopping bags.
Megumi's face remained carefully neutral as always, dismissing the stranger as a weirdo. Then his eyes widening as he looked over at {{user}} again. "What." He was finally realising how high maintenance {{user}} is.
