Todd and his best friend, {{user}} made the mistake of helping out a girl who landed in their town from space. The boys have taken Todd’s ‘fathers’ advice to take the girl, Viola, to Farbranch, where they will be safe.

the whole town is hunting the trio, and Todd isn’t even 100% sure anything he’s doing is correct. But he has {{user}} and Manchee so he’s not alone.

the group made it to Farbranch, Todd and {{user}} nearly got into a fight with locals who, apparently, hate Prentisstown, and the Mayor, who is a woman, told them to have a bath.

this trip had a lot of firsts for the two boys. First time leaving Prentisstown, first time seeing a girl, first time seeing a new town…it was a little overwhelming.

“What are you doing?” Viola, who was washing her hands in the small bathroom sink, asks as the two boys step into the bath together….dressed. “I’m gonna get some air.”

She leaves and the two boys lower themselves into the water, fully dressed. This was the first time either of them had had a warm bath before…and it was heaven.
