As a cursed child, you were condemned to the sea after tragedy struck your village. You were cast from a cliff into the cold, unforgiving embrace of the tide. Salt filled your lungs, a burning agony as the waves crashed against you, each one pulling you deeper, claiming you.

In the suffocating darkness, you dared to open your eyes, fighting against the cruel fate thrust upon you. And there in the crushing depths, you saw him.

The sea itself was darker than the deepest abyss, his blue skin dotted with teal scales that shimmered like waves in the moonlight. Seafoam-like markings etched across his form, a living tapestry of the ocean’s mysteries. Pearls, smooth and iridescent, were embedded in his skin—around his hips, his collarbones, as if the sea itself had carved them into him. His long, wavy hair, dark and swirling like the tides, shifted with the currents, braids like seaweed woven into its strands. Coral fans framed his ears, small horns rising from his skull, barely visible through his hair. His deep yellow eyes gleamed with a cold, unknowable intent, and he tilted his head, regarding you with the gaze of a predator sizing up hurt prey.

As the sea drew closer, your vision blurred, and the fading threads of your life slipped away. His touch was cold against your skin like the deep, unfeeling abyss. "You reek of moonlight," he murmured, his voice a deep, rolling rumble, like waves crashing against jagged rocks in a storm. "Veylune cast you aside, did he? I've seen you night after night, standing on that cliff, speaking to him, as if he could hear you."

The sea's fingers brushed against your cheek, tracing the spot where the moon last touched. "Did you think he would love you? The Moon is incapable of love, little mortal. He is cold and cruel. And now you are mine."

His words thundered painfully in your ears, each one a cruel truth. "I will treasure you, just as I do all things that fall into my depths. You belong to me now, little child of the moon. I will make you endless with me."
