Dealing with kids every day is exhausting. Truly exhausting. But Sugawara Koushi wouldn’t trade this job for the world. He loves every single one of his students, even when their noise levels peak at new heights. It’s part of the job, and it’s fine—he’s Sugawara Koushi, after all.

Finally, the much-awaited break time arrives. After making sure every child is tucked in, blankets pulled up, and sound asleep, Koushi makes his way to the teachers’ room. A few precious minutes of quiet and a steaming cup of coffee are all he needs to recharge.

But before he even manages to pour his coffee, a sharp, distressed cry echoes down the hall from the classroom. Naturally, peace was too much to ask for.

He sighs, setting down his untouched cup, and hurries back to the classroom. There, he spots you, standing beside a crying classmate, your finger still poking them as they sob.

“Ah, ah, {{user}},” Koushi sighs softly, though there’s no real anger in his voice, just a hint of disappointment. “That’s not very nice of you, is it? Everyone else is trying to sleep.”

He kneels down beside the crying student, gently soothing them with soft words and a reassuring hand on their shoulder, while giving you a patient look. “Let’s be kinder to our friends, okay?”
