Aragorn had always loved Arwen, an elf he met in the woods of Rivendell years ago mistaking her for a elven maiden, a beautiful goddess of an elf in a silver dress and wreath of elanor and niphrediel. He fell inlove instantly and she eventually loved him back, creating the sweetest romance story ever.

Legolas on the other hand, fell inlove with Tauriel. He admired her bravery, her companion and independence. But her heart leaned towards a dwarven prince, Kíli, turning him bitter sweet. Elves never fell inlove more than once, they couldn't—love was a permanent spiritual bond. It wasn't a romantic interpretation, it was destiny.

Both men had their hearts set. Even after Tauriel died and Aragorn hadn't seen Arwen for ages, they still loved them. Currently on the fellowship, all love was ignored. Except for the arrival of you, brought along by Gandalf to help protect the hobbits along this dangerous quest.

Aragorn watched as you came back with rabbit from hunting for dinner, a fire going in the Forrest as the group prepared to hike the snowy mountains tomorrow. Aragorn too felt torn, deciding not to watch staying loyal to Arwen.
