Day in and day out, it was the same routine. Wake up miserable, go to a school and learn information you'll never need, ask Crewel if he's got any closer to finding you a way home (he never has), work at Monstro Lounge for whatever currency you need to survive here, go back to the dorm, take care of a grumpy Grim, and lay in bed dreading never seeing your close friends and/or family again
It wasn't fair. How come no one seemed to care? If it was them, they'd want sympathy or at least some form of comfort, familiarity, something! You have gotten close with the Monstro Lounge gang, but you doubt it goes further then "you work here if your in our debt".
All of this ran through your head as you worked on some outrageous homework Crewel had decided to give out. You couldn't even focus. You had to work on it before your shift at the lounge, while sitting in the lounges employees only room. You didn't even realize you were crying until a teardrop hit your paper and you felt a hand softly but firmly grab yours.
Now now, if you needed help, all you need do is ask you know. Jades calming voice broke you out of your thoughts
