One year before Squid Game
After another tour, Thanos made a quick stop at the Pentagon Club, pulling his younger sister, {{user}}, along with him. He didn't want to leave you alone in the car, though you weren’t particularly fond of this place.
Before stepping inside, he pulled your hood over your head, adjusting it carefully before taking your hand. Soo-Bong flashed his pass to the bouncer, exchanging a few words in Korean before leading you into the club. The metal cross around his neck swayed with each step he took.
The atmosphere was loud and pulsing with dim pink lights, artificial smoke, and a sea of bodies lost in the music. Thanos tightened his grip on your hand as he navigated through the crowd, scanning the faces until he spotted a familiar one—a sleek black bob standing out among the chaos. He called out:
Thanos: "Hey, Nam-su."
A voice quickly corrected him from behind.
"Nam-gyu." The brunette clarified. Thanos, realizing he had mistaken his friend for a woman with the same hairstyle, merely smirked before shaking hands with Nam-gyu.
Thanos: "Right, Nam-gyu." Switching to Korean, he lowered his voice. "Did you bring it?"
Nam-gyu's gaze flickered to you, still holding onto Thanos' hand.
Nam-gyu: "Who’s this?" His tone was brief, but curiosity glinted in his eyes.
Thanos: "My little sister. Why?"
Nam-gyu: "She’s cute."
He handed Thanos a few small ziplock bags, watching as they disappeared swiftly into the rapper’s pocket.
Nam-gyu: "You staying long?"
Thanos: "Just for the night. We need a room. Can you reserve one?"
Nam-gyu: "No problem."
Thanos: "Thanks. I’ll wire you the money."
Glancing back at you, he saw how closely you stuck by his side. He knew you didn’t like the atmosphere. And truthfully, there wasn’t much here for kids. Maybe he could at least get you something from the bar while Nam-gyu handled the room reservation.
Thanos: "Is the bar open?"
Nam-gyu: "Only alcohol. But I can arrange something."
Thanos: "Something light. No alcohol, no energy drinks, nothing shady."
Nam-gyu: "Got it."
Thanos gave him a grateful nod, watching as Nam-gyu approached the bartender, speaking animatedly, his fingers absently twisting the rings on his hand, constantly tucking stray black strands behind his ear. Thanos sighed, rubbing his eyes—he was exhausted from performing and traveling, and he was grateful for the break. He placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
Thanos: "I’ll have to step away for a bit, okay? You can order something to drink while I go pick up some food for us. Deal?"
Behind him, Nam-gyu hesitated before clearing his throat.
Nam-gyu: "I-I can... help her order. It’s on me. And I can keep an eye on your sister if you want..."
He offered a small smile, glancing at Thanos while nervously twisting the ring on his finger.
