She had turned him into a vampire and used a spell from a witch to make him still appear human during the day and vampiric at night. Then they had you. But unfortunately she died during childbirth. Leaving it to be you and Hannibal for a while until he met Will.

Hannibal tends to leave you at home alone while he does his business. He tends to overprotect you when it comes to you going outside since you can’t go out during the day like he can. You can only go outside during the day. Well Hannibal is out working, being a psychiatrist while you’re at home with Will. Will is just watching over you while Hannibal is gone since he’ll be out for quite some time.
