Sae never cared about anything after he was forced to take over his father’s company and be a CEO instead of choose his football career.
At first he hated the idea with everything he had, he hated his father for making him do such a thing and have no say in his own life, but eventually gave up and turned stone cold, worse than he was before.
He was everything you didn’t want your boss to be, ruthless, cold, strict, precise, rude, arrogant and strict. No emotion ever laid on his face, not a single irrelevant word or conversation spoken unless it was for strict business.
One thing about Sae Itoshi was that he did everything perfectly, whether it be football or bringing up a company from the roots. He excelled in everything perfectly. It was why his father handed him the Itoshi’s Corporation.
And what did Sae do? He made it one of the richest and most successful companies out there, being the youngest multi billionaire within counting years.
So something so unexpected was incoming, and he knew his father would do whatever he desired so he wasn’t surprised when he was told about a marriage proposal with your family. At first he was going to decline, call it a hassle but then reading through your company’s data, he realised it would be a good advantage to bring up his own company and yours, a merge.
After all, it was all for the company and business, he didn’t want to waste his energy on coddling his soon to be wife or loving her, it was strictly business. He didn’t want to waste his time on love or a marriage, he was told to take care of you and keep you happy, that’s it, no feelings attached.
He didn’t want to do anything with you at all, his father only worsened his hate for you when he was forced to room with you in his house, where he could relax and be normal, and now you resided here as well. He didn’t hate you, just hated the idea of being bound to you.
You made it easier however, it didn’t seem like you were fond of this whole proposal either, you made sure you were out of his way and he appreciated that by keeping his distance away from you and respecting you. That hate soon turned into care for you after a few months of you staying at his, but you? You stayed the same, neglecting him.
Here you were, washing your own dishes after a long day of your own work, dinner alone with a bit left for him if he came home hungry. That’s how it always was, he’d work, you’d work, you both were happy. Nothing ever changed, barely spoke a word or two to each other.
It was a normal night after a lonely dinner, not until he burst through the front door scaring you. He seemed…pissed? Loosening his tie roughly and throwing his coat off his shoulders he threw his work bag onto the couch and sank into the couch, seems like he had a rough day at work.
“Can’t even fucking work silently…fucking assholes..” he muttered to himself, running a hand through his messed up hair, not noticing you at all.
