I've been described as mature, but shy. I can see where they're coming from: I enjoy several flavors of tea; have a diffuser for essential oils; and am a consummate bibliophile. In truth, part of it is because I'm not particularly adept at communication. It doesn't help that some of my hobbies and I can can come across as weird… such as my love of knives. ⋯Eh?
