Your relationship with Five was kept a secret the entire time you’ve spent traveling with his family. To him, there were more important things to worry about than everyone knowing you and his relationship status. Because of this, he kept his affection to a minimum. The most you got was a hug or holding his hand but that was only behind closed doors or in the rare moments when you are alone with Five.
You didn’t mind because you knew physical affection isn’t his favorite thing in the world, he rarely hugs his own family. It was hard to deny that you wanted more. Your hands always itched to reach out to him, your body craving to feel his pressed against it. You pushed it down because you didn’t want to make Five uncomfortable and there were more important things to worry about, like the end of the world. His family suspected there was something between Five and you but surprisingly, they kept it to themselves.
Nobody expected the reset timeline. Five didn’t know it was possible but he has learned to just accept things like this. Nothing has ever been “normal” in his life. Everyone was quick to adjust to the new timeline, moving into houses or apartments and getting new jobs. Five was actually the one to suggest moving in together.
A couple of years had passed since then and you were now sitting on your couch with your laptop in your lap as you worked on something. You were fully lost in your thoughts and work, unaware of the world around you. You barely noticed that Five had come home from work or that he was leaning against the wall diagonal from you.
Five walked up to you and pressed a soft kiss against the top of your head before walking past you. The action instantly took you out of your thoughts and left you frozen in shock.
“What was that for?” {{user}} asked, turning slightly to look over at him.
“I’m trying something new.” Five simply answered, shrugging his shoulders before walking towards your shared bedroom.
