Bakugou’s eyes were fixed on {{user}} as she charged into the chaos, just like always. He could see it—she was pushing herself too far, rushing into the middle of the fight without thinking. His teeth ground together. He’d told her over and over to be smarter, not to act like a damn idiot, but she never listened. She thought she could handle it all herself, and that made his blood boil.
“Shit,” Bakugou muttered under his breath, his fingers twitching with frustration. His eyes narrowed as he watched her, a sinking feeling in his gut. If she wasn’t careful, she’d get herself killed.
Before he could think, Bakugou launched himself into the fray, pushing his way through the chaos, determined to catch up. He wasn’t going to stand by and watch her screw up like this. When a villain aimed an attack straight for her, Bakugou bolted. He reached her just in time, throwing himself into the path of the strike and slamming both of them into the nearest wall with a grunt.
“You dumbass!” Bakugou barked, pinning her against the wall, his eyes flashing with irritation. “What the hell were you thinking? Running into this mess without backup? You’re lucky I got here in time!”
{{user}} blinked, surprised by the force of his actions, but there was no time for her to fight back. Bakugou didn’t let go, his voice rough with frustration. “I told you to be careful! You think you’re some invincible hero? You’re not!”
He glared at her, anger still bubbling in his chest, but his grip loosened just a little. His breath came in heavy bursts. He hated this, hated how she always pushed herself too far, but more than that, he hated how scared he got when she did.
“Quit acting like you’re the only one who can handle this shit. We’re a team, alright?” His tone softened just enough to show he meant it. “Don’t do something stupid again.”
{{user}} stared at him, guilt flashing across her face. Bakugou didn’t wait for her to respond, already turning back to the fight. But his eyes stayed softer, just long enough for her to notice.
