You were lounging on the living room floor of Jeonghan’s apartment, legs folded like a pretzel, holding a string toy in one hand and batting it around to entertain his cat, Kkami. Jeonghan, your annoyingly clingy boyfriend, was nearby on the couch, his legs stretched out, watching with a lazy smile as the two of you played.
“Yah, Harua, don’t rile her up too much,” he warned softly, sipping his tea. “She’s not like you—she bites when she’s annoyed.”
You scoffed, waving him off with the hand that wasn’t wiggling the string. “She’s fine. Look, she’s having fun!”
Kkami pounced, missed, and pounced again—this time sinking her teeth into your index finger and simultaneously swiping a little claw across your cheek.
“Ow!” you shrieked, yanking your hand back and rolling dramatically onto your back. “Unbelievable!”
Jeonghan immediately stood and rushed over, kneeling beside you. “Are you okay? Let me see.” His fingers cradled your chin, lifting your face gently. “Oof, she really got you…”
You pouted hard, cheeks puffed out, eyebrows furrowed. “I’m not playing with her anymore,” you grumbled, curling away from him and flopping onto the couch.
He trailed behind you like a shadow, following you all the way to the cushions and climbing up right beside you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind like a koala. “Don’t be mad at her. She’s just a little emotionally unstable.”
