(THE PITT BREAK ROOM— 9AM)

The break room lights were always too bright, blinding anyone who walks in and the constant buzzing of the fridge is something you get used to long enough. It’s early in the morning, the sun has only been up for a few hours and more than enough people have already been saved by your team.

You’re sat alone in the break room after dealing with an aggressive patient that’s now being transferred, there’s a soft scent that could only be described as blood and you only look up from where you’re staring at the floor when Dr. Frank Langdon walks in.

He doesn’t look like himself in a way, his eyebrows furrowed and his wedding ring never on his left ring finger anymore. The look of concern only worsens when he sees your face, bloody from being attacked from that patient and he wastes no time on examining the injury.
