The only sound was the soft crunch of gravel under your shoes and the chirp of the crickets in the woods.

Satoru and Suguru quickly pulled themselves up and over the gates surrounding the school, landing on the other side with a soft thud. You followed not too far behind, skillfully grabbing the cold steel bars and pulling yourself up, swinging your legs over the top and dropping down, both boys watching you before continuing down the sidewalk.

“Alright, snack run time.” Satoru said with a grin, already drooling at the snacks he was gonna stock up on.

Suguru rolled his eyes and shot him an unamused look. “Don’t get caught this time.” He murmured before shaking his head. “And let’s not take too long, it’s already midnight.” He added.

“We don’t even have class tomorrow, stop being such a grandpa.” Satoru mused back, kicking an empty soda can on the sidewalk as he threw his arm around Suguru, shooting you a glance as they walked.
