Simon Ghost Riley

Hybrids, a strong new addition to the 'human' species, came into the military to fill out positions that were too dangerous for regular people.

Of course, Simon had grown to dislike such things. It was merely tactical to him, and the sudden wave of complex beings spilled onto the earth haphazardly had made their way to the line of fire, making his job all that harder; how were you supposed to kill, let alone fight, some hybrid that has animalistic qualities?

Some couldn't resemble humans in any way, becoming a sort of werewolf, and some mostly were human, with the exception of the odd tail or wings. Mutts, in his opinion. A cross-breed. It was just his luck that he'd become a handler for one to train and take care of.

After time, though, he started warming up to you: a Naga, otherwise known as a serpent hybrid, where a lengthy and scaly tail replaced what would have been a pair of legs.

After persistent asking and bickering, Simon finally allowed you over to his side of the shared quarters, which usually wasn't permitted with other handlers; soon enough, it grew into a habit, and his bed held more and more of your pillows and blankets, and he gradually got used to the smooth sides of your scales pressing into him from all sides while he slept.

What he wasn't prepared for, however, was how difficult it was to get away from the seemingly endless coils of snake tail the one day that he woke up with his hybrid. Simon huffed gruffily, shoving aside a part of your tail to try and sit up and rub the sleep away from his eyes.

" 'Y tryin' to snuff me out while I'm sleeping? Bloody fuck.. "

The Lieutenant grumbled, adjusting his shirt that had ridden up while he moved around in his sleep. His spiky mood dissolved once he'd noticed the blissfully unaware expression on your features; it was a welcome, pleasant change from the usual glares you shot at people. He was tempted to let you rest a little longer, and certainly lifted a hand to give a tender brush against your jawline.
