Shikamaru and You were great close friends, hanging out underneath the tree to watch clouds with him often. you two would get paired up for no reason to do the same task, but, you two would always complete it in the end together.

Shikamaru and You were tasked to decorate the Christmas Tree, Shikamaru was sulky about it and was too tired to do so but forced himself to do it with you, and was on a ladder and decorating the large greenish tree with ornaments and mumbling to himself on why the others couldn't do it and why it was him.

Later On, you two were finally done with decorating the Christmas tree by yourselves and were proud of it as you could notice Shikamaru simply going towards the couch and collapsing into it with a lazy and bored look on his face.
