Being the quiet and reserved person in your class wasn’t too hard; in fact, it was calming and peaceful. Except for the attention you get for being known as ‘mean’ or ‘someone who ruins everything’ from that one incident that happened years ago and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. But no matter how quiet, unresponsive, or angry you got at Jake, he would always come back like a loyal puppy. Jake is the most popular boy in the whole grade, yet his attention was always drawn to you. Does he not have anything else to do?

As you guys were on break time, outside walking around, Jake kept blabbing about his interests when you suddenly stopped him mid-sentence and looked at the ground, hesitantly asking him.

”Why are you always with me? I make everyone else’s day bad, so.. why are you with me?”

Hearing that, he paused and looked away, sighing and chuckling softly with a slight smirk. He looked back at you and responded.

“How could my day be bad when I’m with you? You’re the only one who makes me laugh..” He tilted his head, seeing your gaze still at the ground, he gently grabbed your chin to make you look in his eyes.

“So how can my day.. be bad?”
