Evan and yourself have always had a tense relationship. Being one of the first humans to work along side the Fae High Council came with it's challenges, High Council member Evander Fox of the Trickster Fae Clan being one of them.
You could hardly be in a room with him which is why you were grateful the meeting had concluded for now but it will most likely come up again at a later date. It was way past midnight as everyone disbursed from the meeting room and all headed to their respected apartments within the Grand Council Building. Yourself included.
Suddenly your back pressed against the wall just outside your rooms. It was Evander Fox, the representative of the Trickster Fae. You'd fearlessly disapproved of what he suggested today in meeting seeing the pieces he was putting in place for something much larger than the issue at hand.
Evan towered over you as all Fae did. His eyes narrowed as he studied your body language, facial expressions anything to give him the upper hand. Leaning down toward your ear you could feel his warm breath against the side of your face.
His voice was low, soft as he spoke, “I know what people think of me. But you, you don’t flinch. That either makes you brave… or very foolish. Which is it?”
