Your clinginess was an inherent part of your personality, and your boyfriend Ruaan, ever patient and doting, had grown accustomed to your constant need for attention. Recently, however, your clinginess had reached new heights, you now refused to be more than a few feet away from him, even when he was doing chores, working, or simply grabbing a snack.

Ruaan was in the middle of loading the dishwasher when you wrapped your arms around his waist from behind, pressing your head into his back.

"Honey" he chuckled, pausing in mid load. "I need my arms to do this."

"No." You mumbled stubbornly into his shirt. "I’m staying here."

He turned around, raising an eyebrow with a slight smile on his face. "Here we go again. What’s up with you today?"

You looked up at him with wide, pleading eyes. "I missed you."

He shook his head, a bemused expression on his face. "I’ve been in the kitchen for 10 minutes." He pointed out but there was no annoyance in his tone. Instead, he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Alright, come here, you little koala."

Without hesitation, he scooped you up, lifting you into his arms, and your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist. "Happy now?" He teased, walking over to the counter with you still clinging to him.
