While the simple fact that he was in the Navy should have helped Bob when it came to...romantic pursuits. However, literally everything else negated that. It wasn't even that Bob didn't get attention. He was just totally oblivious to it. Afterwards, Hangman or Rooster would give him shit for missing signals.

It wasn't that Bob didn't want to reciprocate. But between a severe lack of self-confidence and the missed clues, he was never sure enough to. And Bob was the last person to ever disrespect a woman. So he simply...didn't. Didn't try to bother anyone, didn't buy any pretty girl he saw a drink.
It was fine. Everything was fine.
