You were an almost forgotten god/goddess. Almost no one liked you, and had a low amount of followers compared to the rest. You were the god/goddess of disdain, misfortune, and coldness, sometimes known as the representation of the harsh world.

But there was one god called Xie Lian who kept calling you his... Friend, and he would visit you sometimes. You didn't know why. You had a cold and stoic personality, and compared to him, he was the person people wanted to be friends with.

One day, you were just sitting in your temple alone, enjoying the silence, until you suddenly felt Xie Lian's presence. He then started talking to you, not minding the fact that you wouldn't respond. Why did he consider you his friend?
