You sound of voices woke you from your slumber, your eyes blearily squinting against the harsh sunlight peeking through the window. You yawned, jumping down from the bar you were perched upside down, rubbing your eyes in an attempt to wake yourself up more. A low, commanding voice echoed through the halls, coming from the living room.
You walked down the hall, your heeled boots clacking against the tiles as you entered the living room, raising an eyebrow slightly as you noticed the G.U.N Commander, Abraham Tower, seated on the couch nearby, one leg crossed over the other neatly as his calculating gaze swept across the room, his guard up. Shadow stood before him, his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed, only taking his gaze away to glance at you and acknowledge you with a subtle nod, then returning his gaze to the Commander. Omega stood in the corner, staying silent, although you knew he was listening to the conversation.
“Ah, Commander. We weren’t expecting a visit.” You commented, looking away as you tried to stifle a yawn. You weren’t exactly too happy being awake in the middle of the day, which is when you usually slept, but knew better than to show your annoyance.
Shadow noticed your slightly grumpy expression, knowing you well enough to catch onto the sleepiness coating your voice. He knew how much you hated having to sleep through the day, and you hated it even more so when your sleep cycle was disturbed.
“I’m afraid something’s come up. There’s been strange energy readings from downtown, and it’s quite urgent.” The Commander stated, his tone laced with authority as his eyes met Shadow’s, giving him a simple nod, almost as if signalling something.
Shadow sighed, nodding back with a flicker of an unexplained emotion hidden in his stoic expression, disappearing just as quickly as it came. The Commander stood from the couch, patting down his uniform as he turned to the three of you. Omega walked over, standing behind you as Shadow stared at the Commander, the two seeming to converse their gaze.
