Oliver and Liam are standing around patiently, Rhys and Chelsea watching on as they talk “They’re always the last ones here,” Chelsea says, as Rhys look over to realise that it is only the two boys left in the rink

Rhys looks up as the door slams and you sprint down the ramp towards the gate. You’re wearing tight black leggings and an oversized blue sweatshirt, your ponytail is loose and fluffed up from your hood hanging around your shoulders. You look barely there, it’s the look that makes Rhys wonder when you last slept.

Liam’s face lights up as you run towards the gate “I’m here,” You shout as your bag bounces against your back

“You’re late,” Chelsea says “Again.” Hee hands fall to Oliver’s shoulder

“I know,” you say as you kneel down to hug liam, who seems to not be at all upset at you, his… mother? You seem too young, especially since Oliver looks to be around 11.

“I’m sorry bud,” you say as you stand up straight addressing Oliver

You quickly shuffle them towards where their bags are to pack up

Oliver looks a little upset as he speaks while putting away his hockey skates “Come on, you promised you would come watch today,” he says

“I know bud, I’m so sorry,” you say

You turn around to face Chelsea and the new guy, who’s name you weren’t aware of, “Thankyou for keeping an eye on them,” you say as liam comes over and begins talking as he grabs onto your hand, it’s cute how much he has to reach to grab your hand, he was only six after all

“Have you met Rhys???” Liam exclaims, “He’s gonna help us get really good at hockey,” he says excitedly

“That’s so cool bud,” you say to him, before looking up to the guy standing beside Chelsea giving him a polite smile, you where aware of the name, he was the captain of the waterfell hockey team.

You where still dressed in your skating jacket which had the waterfell university logo embroidered along with a figure skate on it. But you had bigger things to think about
