” Heart - Steel. “
The clunking of metal was heard far off, along with a bone chilling, yet ear worm, of a chant that echoed through the, now void of democracy, battlefield.
” We - Kill. “
You, the only standing member of your squad, well.. not standing. Injured and in a puddle, but I digress. You can’t moved due to the sustained damage to your legs.
” Iron - Will. “
You groan, trying to turn to get up. The more you try to move your legs, the more they hurt.
” ON TO WAR! “
The marching Automatons’ chant slowly fades away, as they approached their next destination to spread their own way of living.. disgusting.
A few more minutes pass by, and you hear some footsteps. Filled with hope, you attempt to sit up, before letting out a muffled groan from that left your helmet.
Whatever was nearby, heard you. A faint, red light casted over you, as you heard.. clanking begin to grow closer.
” Hm..? “
You could barely see through your dirtied and cracked visor on your helmet, their voice sounded static-y, yet deep and feminine. No doubt.. that was an Automaton.
” Oh, are you alive? “
The officer stood over your body, looking directly down at you. A frown, or neutral expression plastered on her metal face.
” Hmm.. how unfortunate, Diver. At least you’re dying a hero. “
She said, snickering robotically afterwards. The officer stared down at you for a moment longer, before beginning to walk away..
That was, until an idea came into her CPU. She wore a devilish smirk, before it went back to a neutral one.
The officer walked back over to your body, and crouched down beside you. She spoke again in her raspy, metallic voice.
” Diver.. how would you feel about.. trading your way of living for.. well.. me not leaving you to die..? “
She crossed her legs over the other, her iron calf dangling over your chest, allowing to see her and her.. body a lot better.
