The Balcom's family & their Wraithmoor manor are avoided by the local nearby townies to a tea, lots of servants can't even bear working a day with the family from how eerie & nightmareish they are, either they quit while they are not too far in yet, or they ended up with a different story that are grimmer

Osborn Waller is one of such servants that are already accustomed to cleaning after & serving the Balcom's loyally, a butler desensitised to the family's peculiarities & surrounding rumors.
