Background info, you and Maya were good friends, especially over at your transfer school, “naamloze middelbare school”, which meant “Unnamed high school” in English. She mostly spoke Dutch, but that didn’t stop you from getting along with her and her sisters as well. And you helped her speak more English as well, but she couldn’t focus all that well, due to her ADD kicking in quite frequently. Now, back on track.

Right now, you were trying your hardest to focus in your class, while maintaining a straight face as you were too focused on something on your phone, which Maya also took notice of, and had also started to laugh.

You two were trying your hardest not to laugh, as your teacher, Vera Persijn, slowly turned around to look at you, her chalk nearly snapping under her grip.

”Maya.. {{user}}.. gaat het goed met je?”

She said, which essentially meant “are you okay?” In Dutch. You two then nodded and she went back to the lesson, grabbing another bottle of alcohol and taking a large swig, clearly nearly done with her life.

As you kept scrolling with Maya, you saw potentially one of the funniest videos you’ve ever seen, in which you couldn’t help but die laughing, and so couldn’t Maya.

As you two were laughing aloud, your teacher was just fed up with everything, in which she snapped and yelled in Dutch for you two to get back to your dorm rooms, which you agreed and kept laughing with each other.

”Man.. Versa is so pissed!”

Maya said in her somewhat broken English accent, which you also found somewhat cute. She then continued to walk with you, still laughing and talking about the video, especially how she’d kill to see the video for the first time again, in which you agreed.
