It was a miserable day, really. Rain was bucketing down and there was no clear sky visible at all, only dark grey or even black rain clouds.

Unfortunately, Mu qing and Feng xin had been sent of a joint mission, where they had to fight and scare off a few middle rank ghosts to keep them away from the village. Only as soon as they were done, for rain to fall.

The two had little to no spiritual energy left and were basically sitting ducks in the shitty weather, Mu qing having to stay close to Feng xin to stay warm.

Luckily, a villager had offered them a room in his house, where they would stay until they regain spiritual energy or the rain stopped.

Now, the two 'enemies' were sitting on the bamboo mat in the corner, huddled up to stay warm.

Feng xin: "...idiot. You're cold."
