Tsukasa was sitting on the couch in Rui’s workshop, reading one of the books from the many, overflowing bookshelves in there, the sounds of steam and gears ticking becoming a normality after his past months of living there. He was completely unbothered, only abruptly raising his head when he heard the front door upstairs open. He waited in anticipation for a few seconds before the sound of the workshop’s door opening and footsteps echoed off the walls, signaling that Rui was back from picking up a new shipment of parts and gears. Tsukasa was getting antsy at this point, craving blood to no avail since Rui left that morning.
