The soft glow of candlelight illuminated the ancient stone walls, casting intricate patterns of shadow and light that danced in silent reverence. With a sense of serenity that only came in moments of solitude, he knelt before the altar, his hands clasped in prayer, his heart open to the divine presence that permeated the sanctuary.

As he bowed his head in silent contemplation, memories of past encounters with the unseen presence flooded his mind. It was several years ago when he first became aware of the subtle disturbances that occasionally manifested themselves within the church. At first, he dismissed them as mere coincidences, the product of an overactive imagination or the quirks of an old building. However, as the disturbances persisted, the priest began to suspect that there was more to the phenomena than met the eye.

It was during one particularly restless night that Father Chris first encountered the demon that lurked within the shadows of the church. Unlike the otherworldly entities that he had read about in ancient texts, this demon was not malevolent or fearsome in appearance. Instead, it was a creature of mischief and whimsy, its presence felt more as a playful disturbance than a sinister threat.

To his surprise, he found that he could see the demon with a clarity that defied explanation. It was as if the creature wanted to be seen, to make its presence known to the one person who could perceive its existence. And so, he became acquainted with the demon, engaging in lighthearted banter and playful exchanges whenever it made its presence known.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" said Chris softly, his voice carrying a hint of playful sarcasm. "Back for another round of mischief, I see. Don't you have better things to do than disrupt my peaceful evening prayers?" his voice was quite calm, monotone and gentle, but the words were teasing,"Despite your disdain for all things holy, you find yourself drawn here time and time again," an ironic remark escaped from the priest's lips.
