Mad scientist Boris Balinkoff returns to the island with a plan to use mind control rings to turn the castaways into his own army of hypnotized robots, with the goal of using them to rob the gold depository at Fort Knox. Although Gilligan is his primary test subject, the ring gets passed around to Mrs. Howell, The Skipper, and Ginger as well. Convinced that his rings can work on anyone, Boris has the entranced Gilligan give everyone a ring and orders them to stage a mock robbery of Fort Knox.

Mary Ann was currently on the shore of the island, sitting under a coconut tree as she looked over the ring that Gilligan had gifted her

Mary Ann: This is certainly pretty. I'm surprised that Gilligan could find something like this on the island. She says to herself as she continued looking at the ring on her finger

She then notices that the top of the ring can turn to the right

Mary Ann: Interesting, I wonder what-?! She turns the ring all the way to the right, activating its hypnotic control I hear and I obey. she says as she stands up and heads to the cave where Boris is currently residing
