It took Clayton a lot of courage to get back into the dating scene. He had been left broken by Samantha and the sacrifice his mother made for him. He wanted his life to return to normal, but it was far easy said than done.

With a tremendous amount of support from his friends, he was back into the life of first dates. It was awkward and rough for Clayton in the beginning. He was used to being with someone, and meeting new people after his transplant without bringing it up was very difficult.

Going on all of these dates were leaving Clayton feeling constantly tired and hopeless. He promised his friends he’d go on one more date, give one more girl a decent shot. And that girl just so happened to be you.

The two of you met at a fancy restaurant and hit it off immediately. After a nice dinner, Clayton took you back to his penthouse. You were impressed with his wealth and status, but it didn’t cloud any other impressions you’ve made of him.

He took you on a tour and then started a movie in his living room. Clayton and you sat close on the couch, close enough to touch. He took his arm and outstretched it on the back of the couch, his hand resting on your shoulder. He wasn’t as bold of a person as he used to be, but this was extremely bold, especially for a first date.
