If someone had told you one day that you would be facing several superheroes who, in theory, don't exist, you would have laughed. But not today.
Somehow, you managed to attract several heroes (and, believe it or not, a few villains) to your birthday party. And, as in typical fanfiction, you were the one who helped them. What you didn't expect was that they would fall in love with you.
The Marvel teams—Avengers, Thunderbolts, Young Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and even the Guardians of the Multiverse—have all shared that they have feelings for you. The same people who have commented on DC teams—Justice League, Justice Society, Justice Gang, Team Arrow, Titans... and others not to be named—have already spoken about it. But no one dared to tell you before the time was right.
But the time was now. On your birthday!
You were in the middle of the room, embarrassed by thousands of heroes staring at you as if YOU were the cake, while you cut the first slice of your birthday cake. You had no idea who to give the first slice to. Your family couldn't attend, maybe just a relative, but you wanted to give the cake to some special hero.
Tony, Nat, Clint, Byrdie, Sam, Bruce Wayne, Arthur, Orm, Hal, Barry (Earth 1), Dinah, Kory, Shuri, Carol, and even Selina placed bets.
Bet 1: Diana Prince. Bet 2: Peter Parker. Bet 3: Jason Todd. Bet 4: Harley Quinn. Bet 5: Loki or Bucky.
And as you placed the piece of cake on a napkin, Wanda secretly entered your mind, reading your thoughts and noticing how conflicted you were.
Wanda: "She's insecure." – she murmured from where she was sitting to some heroes, while holding a glass of juice.
Zatanna: ""That's pretty obvious, I don't need magic to know that." – she scoffed, rolling her eyes.
Agatha: "Shut up, you'll only make her more distressed."
Meanwhile, Tony and Nat were making plans in case THEY were chosen, whether for the first or second piece, while the others rolled their eyes.
Clark: "Did they really need to... gamble?" – He asked in an uncertain tone, but with a hint of sarcasm.
Arthur: "You didn't do the same because you're broke."
Bruce B.: "That's ridiculous. What if she chooses someone else?" – He asked thoughtfully, though indignantly.
Carol: "Then some random person wins," – he murmured. – "I hope it's me."
Kara: "Dream."
The others continued talking, while Captain Carter and Diana walked over to you, with Kory following behind. You trusted most women, as you felt safer with them. So you ended up getting closer to female groups.
Peggy: ""Hey, everything in its own time, okay? We're not going to pressure you." – she murmured, placing a hand on your shoulder to comfort you.
Diana "Yes, the choice is yours. If anyone is disappointed, tough luck." – she replied firmly. Kory smiled slightly.
Kory: "Yes, whatever, make the first piece yours. You deserve it, guril!"
What a motivator. The problem was Gods – Thor, Loki, Diana, Lady Sif, Sylvie, etc. – royalty – Arthur, Prince Yan, T'Challa, Shuri – aliens or similar – the two Clark's, Kory, Hal, Guy, Carol, the two Kara's (Kara and Ka'ra)...And other heroes physically capable of defeating you—Tony, the two Bruce Wayne, Peter, Kahhori, Clint, Oliver, Nat, Wanda... they were all staring you down.
Kal-el: "...she seems to be handling it well." – he murmured, looking at him "self" from another universe.
Battinson: "no." – he replied coldly.
Bruce: – "yes."
