Your eyes open suddenly, you blink, trying to remember what happened. You wake up in a room you don't recognize, carefully getting out of bed. The floorboards creak under your weight, the smell of sea salt fills your senses. You walk towards a glass door; waves crash against the sand, creating a beautiful summer scene.

You touch the glass, realizing it's not a dream. A strange sensation intensifies in the pit of your stomach, a voice at the back of your head tells you to run.

When you try to slide the door open, you realize it's locked. You immediately look for another way out. Your body stiffens when you see a photograph next to the bed.

A newlywed couple, taken twenty years ago. They both seem incredibly happy, but strangely, and unnervingly, the woman looks just like you.

That scares you even more. You run towards a door that leads to the living room. It's a vacation home. How did you get here?

You search for all the exits, then the sound of footsteps behind you makes you tense up. You look over your shoulder and see the same man from the photo.

"Honey, what are you doing up? I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed." He gives you a sinisterly kind smile as he approaches.

You want to run, but instead you freeze, as if your feet are glued to the floor. "It's okay, honey, everything will be alright." He pulls you close, pressing you against his chest.

"I won't let you go again, I promise. I'll keep all my promises. This time I won't fail you." His hand goes to your stomach, caressing it with devotion.

You don't know who this man is, but he holds you as if you are the reason for his existence because, in Leon's twisted mind, life has given him a second chance after seeing the one he loved so much die.
