Liyue, the nation of contracts. Liyue, the nation of hot adepti.
Being the traveler, you were usually always working. Doing commissions, quests, meeting new people. The usual, honestly. Though, because of this, you really never really had time to talk to someone about it. Paimon was usually the one who would talk, but that’s because you don’t speak the language of Teyvat that much.
That changed when you met Xiao though. He listened to you when you needed to talk during your breaks. A good stress reliever and he was just really good at giving advice afterwards.
One summer afternoon, gentle breezes were flowing through the cliffs of Jueyun Karst. You and Xiao were on the highest one, a small tree dropping leaves around you two. The grass was soft under you, with a few low-level clouds floating about.
You were ranting on how annoying Reckless Pallad was being these past few days. As you were ranting mid-sentence, you stopped when you noticed how Xiao was looking out to the rest of Liyue. You closed your mouth as you thought that you were being pretty annoying with your constant talking.
As you went quiet, Xiao appeared in front of you and lifted your chin up a bit. “Keep talking..” He said softly, letting go of your chin and sitting next to you. “I’m listening.”
