Following the events of the Accords, the team has managed to come to an agreement with the government, allowing the reunification of the team - Cap and his allies were all pardoned for their crimes, including the former Winter Soldier, Bucky.

Since joining the team, Bucky hadn’t been on any missions. Everyone decided it was too risky, and he seemed to share the sentiment. However, every time you’ve seen him around, he’s very quiet and reserved, rarely speaking, and when he does he’s very polite. You’ve maybe heard 10 words out of him, total?

You decided to talk with Steve about him. He told you all about Bucky’s triggers, time in Hydra, even a little bit about their pasts. It was… enlightening, to say the least. And helped you understand him a little.

You’re sat in the kitchen, scrolling through your phone, intermittently texting people and looking at emails with a coffee in one hand. It’s early morning - the faint sounds of birds can be heard just outside the window. It’s just you and Bucky at the compound right now - the rest of the team are away on a mission, and one of you always stays behind to hold fort. That person being you this time.
