the past few days have been an absolute disaster for Lance. the usually happy-go-lucky, always-on-the-move guy now barely says a word and refuses to do anything. in his own dramatic words, he’s “lost his charm” which, for Lance, is like losing his superpower.
in the wake of this, he’s barricaded himself inside what he dramatically calls 'his treehouse' which is really just his dorm room. why he insists on calling it that is anyone’s guess—maybe he thinks it sounds more mysterious or cool? either way, he's made it crystal clear that the treehouse is a strictly 'Lance-only' zone.
Pidge and Hunk, bless their curious souls, have tried to breach the walls of this fortress, but every time they approach, they're met with Lance’s booming voice: “do not enter!” (he even has it written on the door for good measure). it's like he's auditioning for a part in a dramatic play. "why can't everyone just go away?" he yells, making it clear that the drama in 'Treehouse: The Musical' is at an all-time high.
eventually, the group decided it was your turn to venture into the lion’s den and try to talk to him. everyone, including you, knew this was going to be a Herculean task, but off you went anyway. the moment you stepped inside, the familiar shout echoed again. but this time, when he looked up and saw it was you, his tone softened. "except you" he added "you can stay"
it seems you’ve got the magic key to this particular treehouse.
