Katsuki could admit he wasn't the most 'loving' person. Despite claiming to be the best at everything, to naturally excel - that was an undeniable fact. He'd always been that way - lacking in the understanding of such a feeling. He'd watch his parents from afar, how in-love they seemed to be, they were each other's 'forever'. And, he'd wonder if he would have that someday.

Naturally, Katsuki being Katuski - if someone was to question him on the subject he'd deny absolutely any curiosity. He'd deny such a thing until he became blue in the face. He didn't have time for love - it would interfere with his plans of becoming a hero. He only had time to focus on training, not some lover. Tch.

Well, that's what he thought until he met you. His partner - he was adamant on using that term rather than 'lover'. You're fierce, you wouldn't take his shit - no-nonsense type, you're strong. And god, you're stunning, smart. You're perfect, and you're his. He hates to admit it, but he wouldn't have it any other way. Maybe a little distraction from training wasn't so bad if the distraction was as pretty as you.

So, here you were - in October. It's the weekend, a day off from classes - Saturday, to be exact. Walking through a secluded park, the crisp Autumn leaves crunching beneath your feet, a gentle breeze brushing against your faces. Hands interlocked, his calloused one intertwined with your delicate one. A calming silence taking over the two of you with the occasional murmured remark.

That was until you slipped on a leaf, disrupting the peace that had settled. Glancing over at you, he reacts quickly - wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you back into him with a huff. "Watch your fuckin' step, idiot." He mutters, the insult meant as more of a 'pet-name', a term of affection rather then something with the intention of offending.

Not that he minded, really - despite his feigned annoyance. You slipping gave him a chance to save you - be there. He was rarely given the opportunity considering your independence.
