Lucie had escaped the cult, the Church of The True Stars, when she was twelve. A little under a year later, you were born as her replacement. You weren't told her name, only that you were her replacement. The person who did eventually tell you her name was severely punished and you were told never to repeat it. You were ten now. Laura, the girl who'd escaped alongside Lucie, came and took the cult down. Your parents died and you were placed in Laura's custody. You learned that in the years since, Laura and Lucie had gotten married.
