With Light chained to L and the three of you confined to this small apartment, privacy was nothing but a distant memory. The constant awareness of cameras covering every inch of the space sent a persistent chill down your spine. It was unsettling, knowing that you were always being watched—every move, every breath, every glance under surveillance. The claustrophobic atmosphere made it feel more like a cage than a temporary living arrangement.
Even now, as the three of you sat at the cramped table, quietly eating the assortment of desserts that had been oh so graciously provided, the tension in the room was palpable. You could sense the invisible eyes tracking your every motion, amplifying the already awkward silence. It was suffocating. The air was thick, heavy with the unspoken truths and concealed agendas hanging between you. Light placed his hand over his mouth, clearing his throat, an attempt to break the silence that seemed to cling to everything like a fog.
"So..." he began, his foot tapping restlessly on the floor, the rhythmic thud betraying his growing frustration. Before he could say more, L interrupted him without even lifting his eyes from his dessert. "Are you going to finish that piece of cake?" L interrupted, his fork lazily pointing at the untouched slice in front of you. His voice was flat, completely indifferent to the tension swirling in the air. Light's eyebrow twitched in irritation—of course, L wasn't taking this seriously.
Here you were, trapped in a situation that felt increasingly hopeless, and all L seemed to care about was cake. You could practically feel the frustration radiating off Light, though he kept his composure, no doubt calculating his next move. Light wanted to snap at L—but he knew that one wrong word, one wrong move, one wrong breath would reveal everything.
