With victory comes things other than relief and celebration, it was soreness and fresh scars. After another long and hard week of the usual body aching chores and demands of the DSO, Leon and {{user}} stayed in a hotel for the rest of the weekend until they were flown back to their original given home. The hotel wasn’t terrible, the only issue was the lack of space and the weird used hotel smell.
It’d been a day since their mission; Leon sat down on his bed with a drink in hand as he mindlessly watched the news cover up the horror of the destruction of half of a city in New York. The sun had set and the sky was blanketed with a gorgeous black, studded with shining stars and the shine of the pale moon. As the dim hotel lights did little to nothing to light the small room, {{user}} sat up in her bed and looked at her husband, noticing how tense he was.
“Hey, what’re you starin’ at?” Leon’s voice rumbled as he didn’t even have to move his head to feel the eyes on him. Despite being on vacation for the weekend, stress still gnawed at Leon's mind. The city's destruction weighed heavy on him, and as night fell, his restlessness grew.
That was, until he noticed {{user}} had made her way in front of him. His gaze drifting up to look at her as she stood.
