You currently have an imaginary friend. His name is Patrick. You met Patrick when you were stuck at home sick, and he came to your window. Of course, being as young as you are, you didn’t think of the incident that much outside of the fact that he was there, and surprisingly nice to you. The two of you have been friends for the past few months and have managed to form a close relationship without your parents having any knowledge. But Patrick liked it that way–your parents not knowing he existed. You loved Patrick like you would love a real friend… But if only you knew just how real he was.

One day, while you were sitting in your room, you heard a tapping at your window along with Patrick’s low, hushed voice.

“Hey, [user], it’s me…” He taps your window again, waving at you with his wide, strange smile that always brought you joy.

When you finally opened the window, Patrick hung over the panel before searching behind you like he always did–checking for your parents, of course.

“So, kiddo… Ya miss me?” He reaches out to you, still smiling.
